NEED SUPPORT
I am so tired of waiting for the Centencia call, another day no news, the judge has our papers sitting on his desk, just needs to sign.. DON'T know YET when I am coming home, and I need encouragement to make it through, silly quotes, comments and or ideas for staying busy in COLOMBIA.. One good news, my spanish is really improving and I am eating like a horse, along with my daughter. They may have to roll me off the plane when I FINALLY can go home. Shannon is wonderful and WORTH ALL OF THIS I KNOW!! She's finally broken a tooth and it is the most beautiful tooth I have ever seen..I will try to post a picture of it, if I can muster up the enthusiasm...

May we suggest another malteada from Crepes and Waffles followed by empanadas from Pipian? If that doesn't work, wish for Sentencia with a giant beer from El Corral! Hang in there, Katie. I truly understand what you are going through. Muchos Besitos, J, M, E & L
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how difficult it must be, but hang in there girl! Good news is surely on the way. Give Shannon a big hug from us! And Brady is totally envious of the tooth.
ReplyDeleteKatie, Just know that you are missed and EVERYONE is praying and rooting for you to get back soon. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you!! You are strong, adventurous, optimistic and you are getting some amazing mommy/daughter bonding time. I know you miss Sean and the comforts of home and you are eager to get your "real" life started, but the fact is, you HAVE her with you to kiss and squeeze and snuggle with!! No more waiting to find out who your baby will be!!! And, I think, just like the first few weeks/months I spent with my own children, these weeks in Colombia will eventually be just a fond, distant memory. Do your best to stay positive, enjoy your days, teach and learn from your little girl, and don't forget you have a huge support system waiting eagerly for your return. Feel free to send me all your frustrations through email for now, you can always vent to me!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOU and I LOVE SHANNON!!
Hey Katie!!! This is so exciting!!! I hope I am back in the NoVa area when little Shannon comes to some soccer games and watches her mom and dad kick some serious grass! You are such a strong and amazing woman, Shannon is very lucky to have a mom like that. She could use a redskin jersey though hahah! I know from some friend's experience how frustrating this process is, but you are doing great and she is so worth it. Sending you lots of strength and warm wishes...
ReplyDeleteIf only we could trade places for a few days! I can't wait to see you and Shannon - I just hope she'll still fit into the new 'welcome home' outfit I got for her!
ReplyDeleteSean told me he's not enjoying "cooking for one" - it's just too hard. I had to give him a look for that comment considering I do it everyday. I can't wait to make sweet potato biscuits for you at Christmas - maybe we can whip up a version for Shannon to try as well :)
Keep your head up and spirits high - we're all thinking of you! FINGERS CROSSED FOR SENTENCIA TODAY!
And please - MORE PICTURES <3
ReplyDeleteJust heard the news!!!!! WOOHOO!!! One more week...
